Wow, that was awesome :) I haven't even seen Inception; this fic made me imdb like mad. Well, and google images too. The characterization was wonderful (although I have no idea whether or not it's true to form) and your writing is, as always, very witty. A very interesting read; thoroughly enjoyable!

Oh, honey, this was absolutely gorgeous. I am overwhelmed! (Also, completely flabbergasted at how quickly and completely you spun this out -- I not only want to live in it, it's practically long enough for me to do so. *g*)

I cannot, in all seriousness, even articulate how utterly incredible this is. My heart is somewhere around my throat right now and it's one in the morning. You amaze me, and I just hope you know that this is incredible, and so are you. Thank you so much for putting so much into this. It is astounding in all the best ways.

I have been reading Inception fic for about a month now, and finally, this is the fic that made me go, "I should probably see this flick in the theater before it's too late." That was really god-damned epic and absorbing. (It made me a little wistful because my own BFF's SO is nowhere near as cool as Dom. I want a Dom for my Mal.)

It took me like three days to get through this one, because people kept interrupting and taking me away from this wonderful fic, and I think I am a little in love and humbled by the fact your wrote SO MUCH and said SO MUCH, that I cannot even begin to take out my favorite pieces.

The slow burn romance is my absolute favorite kind, and this was it. I'm so happy you didn't burn it.

I still can't believe you wrote 70 000 words just like that! I mean, wow. That in itself is damned impressive.

What is more impressive is the fact that it's such a beautifully cohesive story too, with such detail and scope. It feels like the definite origin story for Arthur. This IS what happened, I'm sure! I love Arthur's friendship with Mal (and Dom), I love all the OCs, they give the story a feeling of reality. I love how you deal with the idea of dreaming becoming like drug, like the reality you want to live in; it's a damn scary idea. And of course, I love Arthur & Eames and their cosmopolitan love affair. It's all great stuff! :D

so -- today I read this fic for the first time. And like any good fic, after I read it, I let it sit around in my brain and sort of glow and be pretty. And then when I settled back to reread my favourite parts this evening I discovered that apparently I had lost my mind -- because I couldn't find it on your Archive of Our Own works list. I thought "maybe it was someone else? But I was so sure..." because my mental file-thing on you is pretty solid, from back in your Smallville days (your fic basically just rocks whatever fandom, okay?)

And then I looked up "Presque-Vu" and "Inception" on google, and found this, and clicked on it, and AO3 basically said "Sorry, No Fic Here". I spazzed at a friend over AIM, just to check that I wasn't crazy, and she confirmed that it was no longer available via AO3.

I was just wondering if you deleted it, or if it is a glitch...?

In other news, this fic was abso fucking lutely *amazing*. From Mal's stubborn personality -- the way she decides right away that Dom is her future husband -- to the first time that they're killed in the dreamworld, to Eames leaving and Arthur letting him go, to Arthur seeking him out, lost in Paris, to their reunion, when Eames discovers Arthur went looking for him, back in the beginning of his flight from authority, to the old couple who went too many levels down in search of more time with a lost daughter, to Mal slipping and doing the same, to the awful awful moment when Arthur sees the paper, and knows the painting is sold, to the perfect moment when Eames realizes Arthur really *was* that loyal, that he could keep him, he just had to let him out on loan to Dom, and maybe not even that anymore. (Because really, Eames needed him. Dom had needed him, for a while, but Arthur had been ready to go home until the paper, which still is painful to think about -- I didn't cry so much when Mal died, as I did when Arthur came back to Dom, didn't explain anything, just set back to work, and Dom was so wrapped up in everything that he didn't even realize the significance of what it meant that Arthur had returned.)

And I actually thought Dom's absent-minded actions towards Arthur were pretty adorable, too. (As well as the way they infuriated Eames.)

Freak out!

Oh my gosh I found this the other day and there are no words. The level at which I am now obsessed with this fic is troublesome to say the least. I am creating a new religion in its honour.
I went to give it a second read today, and it is gone. I am trying to ward of a heart attack.
Please tell me this is an internet cock up and you haven't taken it down.
"Mal starts yelling in french."
Cheers

I will also have to write another page long comment as soon as the story is up again! But it's more than worth it!!!!!

This is beautiful and it made me cry a little. I loved the movie, and I love the fanfiction that grew around the fandom. Your story didn't just make me feel good, it became part of the original. It also feels as if the movie was part of your story.
And I am so so happy that you let Arthur and Eames have each other again.
Thank you!

May I record of Presque Vu as a podfic?

I just finished reading Presque Vu yesterday (it took me a week) and I was so moved by your marvelous, funny, heart-rending writing that I wanted to ask you if I could record this story as a podfic, unless someone else has already requested. It is one of the most lovely things I've ever read, and I can't feel that way about a work and not want to spend a bit more time with it, to see if I can make it come to life in another form. I know you have an open door policy for podfic (which by the way is very gracious of you) and I've enjoyed many of your longer stories as podfic, and even heard one or two you've recorded. What do you think of this idea?

To my dismay, I have to admit defeat - though I love this story, I cannot seem to pull off Mal's voice effectively. Don't want to do a crap job for this excellent story, so wanted to let you know I am having to drop my attempt to record this podfic - but I do hope that someone else will succeed where I have not been able!

The link seems to be broken. Have you taken the fic off Ao3? Please say it isn't so. I thought it was just my computer, but the link's been broken for days now. :(
